Green Square

Green Square is making history. For the first time in over 100 years the City of Sydney is building a brand-new town centre. Once a rich and diverse industrial hub and a small scale agricultural area for market gardeners, today due to its central proximity to the city and Sydney’s Airport and the area’s improved transport links, Green Square is being transformed into a modern and sought after town centre.

The statistics are impressive –

  • 278 hectares of urban renewal area
  • $13 billion urban renewal construction
  • 30,500 new residential dwellings
  • $540 million contribution from the city over the next 10 years
  • 61,000 people expected to live in Green Square by 2030
