Sareen Stone transformed a raw concrete shell into a sophisticated, fully immersive showroom experience. Located in Artarmon, this new space invites design professionals and homeowners alike to connect with natural stone in a setting that celebrates both function and form.

Take a journey through Sareen Stone’s 2024 highlights and rediscover the milestones that defined this remarkable year.

A Thoughtfully Crafted Space

From the moment you enter, it’s clear this is more than just a showroom. A distinctive timber slat feature wall proudly displays the Sareen Stone logo, setting a warm, welcoming tone. The signage, expertly crafted and installed by Carmel’s Creative Signs, ensures a refined first impression both outside the building and within.

Inside, the rawness of an exposed industrial ceiling contrasts beautifully with refined materiality below, exemplifying how natural textures can strike a balance between boldness and elegance. Thoughtfully chosen black pendant and track lighting, supplied by LPA Lighting, casts just the right mood, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality throughout the space.

This transformation was made possible through close collaboration with a team of trusted professionals. The interior design was brought to life by Sidgreaves & Co, who curated a contemporary yet grounded concept that showcases stone in its most authentic form. The talented team at Hyland Building executed the renovation with speed and precision, while Long Reef Bathrooms and Green Coast Landscapes delivered expert craftsmanship in the meticulous installation of the stone floors and feature wall. Behind the scenes, wonderful tradespeople and electricians worked to ensure every element was brought together seamlessly.

Natural Stone in Action

What sets the Artarmon showroom apart is the way it integrates stone throughout the space—not just in sample displays, but in functional, real-world installations. Underfoot, the striking Cathedral Crazy Paving provides a dramatic yet organic foundation, alongside large-format limestone tiles laid in various patterns to show diverse applications.

A standout feature wall in a soft, sandy eggshell tone creates an immediate focal point behind the main consulting bench. Its linear, random pattern adds refined texture and warmth to the space. Throughout the showroom, additional cladding displays showcase a variety of natural stone finishes – from antique white to warm golden hues and soft greys – all in organic, randomly sized pieces that highlight the versatility and tactile beauty of stone for vertical surfaces.

Natural light filters through large windows, bathing the stone in changing light throughout the day—revealing the rich tonal variations and surface textures that make each piece of stone unique. It’s an environment that helps clients visualise exactly how these materials will look in their own spaces, under natural conditions.

Designed for Discovery

At the heart of the showroom is a custom-built display system created specifically for this location. Sleek, contemporary display islands present Sareen Stone’s curated limestone, travertine, and granite collections in a format that encourages hands-on exploration. Alongside these, newly added porcelain tile displays extend the offering for indoor and outdoor applications with the same high standard of style and performance.

There are three dedicated consultation areas designed with architects and designers in mind — offering inviting spaces to meet with clients, review plans, and explore material options in a relaxed yet professional setting. One of these areas, styled with cognac leather armchairs from Brand Furniture, provides a warm and comfortable environment that feels like an extension of your own studio — perfect for holding project discussions and making confident design decisions.

More than a Showroom

The transformation involved a full internal restructure: removing ceilings, knocking down walls, extending floor space, building a new warehouse office, and constructing structural walls to house the cladding and sample areas. Every detail was thoughtfully executed to enhance both functionality and the visitor experience.

This space is not only a testament to the timeless beauty of natural stone, but to the power of collaboration, design, and expert craftsmanship. It offers an experience that goes beyond display—inviting architects, interior designers, landscapers, and homeowners to see, touch, and truly understand how stone can elevate a project.

We’re also incredibly proud of our Sareen Stone team—whose passion, input, and support played a vital role in bringing this vision to life. Their commitment has shaped not only the space, but the experience it offers.
