Pantone has named ‘Greenery’ as the colour of the year for 2017.

Pantone has named ‘Greenery’ as the colour of the year for 2017. The ‘go green’ phenomenon has obviously reached new heights with this nod from Pantone. According to Pantone, “Greenery is a fresh & zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of Spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew.” www.pantone.com

Pantone refers to Greenery as “Nature’s neutral….a versatile “trans-seasonal” shade that lends itself to many colour combinations.” For more on Pantone’s Colour of the Year and for their palettes that provide the colour pairing with Greenery, visit www.pantone.com/color-of-the-year-2017.

At Sareen Stone we see this fabulous shade of green as the perfect complement to the greys and charcoals of granite and basalt or the soft neutrals of limestone and travertine. ‘Greenery’ will also provide an earthy backdrop to the drama of a strong veined marble.

Greenery takes our thoughts to nature, a fresh start and a heightened awareness to conserve, reuse and recycle. The element of the environment is strong in this new Colour of the Year! What does ‘Greenery’ mean to you?
